Garagelopnik + Shelflopnik [Update]

I had an electrician come out last week to upgrade our electrical service box and run conduit in the garage for more outlets and dedicated power to our garage fridge and freezer. Since I had to pull everything away from the wall so he could work, I used it as an opportunity to finally get some shelves and organize the garage. Got these at Costco. They aren’t the most robust shelves in the world, but I think they’ll be just fine for my needs.

Now, for the other side of the garage.....

Update: I got after the other side of the garage today. I don’t thing it’s been this neat since we moved in 17 years ago. I wouldn’t mind getting matching shelves for the left side of the garage, but this will do for now.

Trying to make it a space my boys will use instead of being on the computer. We’ve got basketball (with a broken scoring commuter), air hockey (I need a better table for it), ping pong (a  sheet of MDF on our old kitchen table), and a dart board behind me to the right. Of course, it will be 110 degrees in there come July...

When I’m done, we might even be able to get both vehicles in the garage at the same time. Haven’t been able to do that since......ever.

It's my requirement that all vehicles I own are stored indoors.  It has kept me from acquiring a non-DD fun car, which makes me sad.

I have older cars, and I’ve never been that worried about garaging them. I would like to be able to move them in when we get a hailstorm, though.

Anybody that can make a tiny 2 car garage function as a practical space is personally amazing to me.

I have no experience at all with them as I have never owned anything that small!

After I get the other side squared away, I’ll set up our low-tech ping pong table again. That big sheet of MDF behind the bike  is the ping pong playing surface, and it sits on our old dining table. It’s slightly smaller than an official table, but it’s close enough.

Nice. We have to keep ours organized out of simple necessity. Also my wife is an obsessive organizer. We just wish we’d built the garage with a single door instead of two. It would have made access so much easier.

I uncovered another G4 that I didn’t remember having. That’s an old eMac that I keep for the OS9 arcade emulator that’s on it.

Stuck my car in my single garage. It takes up so much space theres hard limits on where junk can pile up. I think Oppo needs a full garagelopnik thread started in all their glory and dismay.
